New website additions and Sunday Night giveaway!!!

Bonjour, I'm back from Paris with my heart FULL of great memories.  My mother was so very touched by your emails and birthday wishes she asked me to thank all of you for taking the time to write.  I sent each email on to her and the combination of those and also seeing the masterpieces at the Louvre that day  contributed to a special day.  We had such a terrific time experiencing a little of everything this wonderful city has to offer...great wine, chocolate, pastries, cheese, art, antiques and family...the perfect recipe for a memorable adventure.  The site has been updated with some unique pieces and I thought you would like to see some photos from the trip. The Parisians just have such a beautiful way of enjoying life, they are so dedicated to the visual beauty in all things as I have said before, for me, in the decorative arts field it is such an intoxicating experience..... A restaurant in the left bank Iron balconies adorn EVERY building.... The color of this building is perfect.... How do you like the crown on this chair in our hotel lobby (hotel de Buci) a very charming very small, beautifully decorated hotel in St. Germain....great lively  area... The couple dined while the bebe watched television.... Tissue wrapped bouquet delivery.... Flowers at a stand in plastic filled with water and wrapped in raffia...... All the women looked like this..... We dined at this small restaurant Au 35..... Upstairs were 2 tables with a balcony with the French doors open to the street.   Our waiter was wonderful and so was the food.... The famous macaroons in a lovely window display..... The city is full of cheese.... Towering carved marble Mercury, the winged goddess of victory at the Louvre The lock bridge where lovers pledge to each other and throw the key in the river.... A charming restaurant in Montmartre The perfect French blue..... All the details that make such a difference... Window boxes at Ralph Lauren.... me at Versailles...... Magnificent groin vaulted limestone..... Love the aged giltwood with this color...... The gardens at Versailles.... Gardens where I could just picture Marie Antoinette frolicking with Louis....I would go back, bring lunch and a bottle of wine, rent a boat on the lake and spend a day pretending to be a part of history..... This hardware brings tears to my eyes combined with the distressed painted doors..... Look at this rug....... This stand was set up across the street from our hotel with huge wheels of cheese and the owner with the hat kept offering us sample after sample and even pâté ! McDonalds goes Parisian..... Even the restroom at the airport has special touches.... We were on the sixth floor and this little cutie had fun in the gutter.....
