WEBSITE UPDATED and shop photos of GREAT ART!!

Well look who strolled past the other night!! No, not at the shop in Summit but NYC.  A couple of days ago I was lucky enough to attend the preview of Bette Midler's one woman show "I'll Eat You Last". I really liked it!  Typical Bette character playing brash, chain smoking Hollywood agent Sue Mengers.  Known for her blunt demeanor and chic pot parties where BIG deals were made Sue, (Bette) let us in on some Hollywood secrets while exposing us to what goes into becoming an agent and staying at the top. I found it both enlightening and funny but not for everyone (my sister was nodding off).
When we were outside Sarah Jessica Parker strolled by with Andy Cohen.  She was very sweet with the over enthusiastic crowd but I couldn't help but think what my father would say if he had seen her ..."she looks like she needs a plate of macaroni!"   SOOOO skinny in person but adorable!

The store is FULL of GREAT original art as we get ready for girls night.....LOVE these portraits, above. ...I included a few shop photos for you to get a peak.  Please EMAIL ME with questions.

Spectacular oil on canvas, artist signed AND framed.
H 37 w 26 1/2
$1,400.00

These 18th century drawings, above, have been framed in France.  First the drawing is raised in a small frame, placed on a grey linen mat then framed again in a thin antique frame, then silver leaf and finished with a wonderful 19th century giltwood frame...very special.  The picture doesn't do them justice. On website for a larger look HERE.

NEW ITEMS ADDED and useful antiques!!

Just a quick one this week.  The website has been updated HERE with pieces from the latest container (not all there yet).  I wanted to get the pictures out there for you to see and now I will work on all the descriptions and details. EMAIL ME with questions.  Wonderful art is at the shop and more to come....REALLY excited about this!

I saw this picture, above, on the Savvy Southern Style Blog months ago and LOVED the useful idea for great antique champagne buckets.  I think as a kitchen utensil holder it's a terrific look on the counter.

Right now I have these two, above, available for $275.00 ea.  Antique and vintage creating history on your countertop. I WILL be on the lookout for more but right now these two can be yours.

Another way to add warmth to kitchens usually heavy on appliances and stone is an antique dough bowl or kitchen bowl.  Carved from a single piece of wood they are beautiful fruit bowls or a great piece for bread or chips. As an "everything bowl" it holds mail, keys, etc. with style.

AVAILABLE in a couple of sizes from $175.00-$245.00 above and below.

Also so terrific are these authentic country store jars, above.  These can be used for coffee, pretzels, M &M's or doggie treats! .....priced from $45.00 and up, you can add nostalgia to your countertop.   P.S.  You will notice none of the jars, above, have candy in them as I can not trust myself at the shop alone with chocolate.

Contact me for measurements.  If there is anything you see on the website please email me first and I will make sure it's at the shop if you are local and want to stop by for a closeup. Spring cleaning is in full swing and currently our shop window is FULL of sale items and the antique mirror sale continues, too.   I would LOVE to hear from you on my blog page HERE.  What is YOUR spring project???

I want to take a second to introduce most of you to a wonderful organization in my town called Roots and Wings. (READ MORE) This group of dedicated people have helped more than 46 young adults who have aged out of the foster care system. Many of these youths have no where to turn and have been classified by The Child Welfare League of America as high risk for homelessness, health issues, poor educational outcomes and increased rates of societal failure. Roots and Wings offers licensed social workers,  mentorships and 24/7 on call support, educational support, financial planning, life skills training and counseling for this special group. They have a creative fundraiser planned for Mother's Day where your donation will send a pretty chocolate surprise to your Mom or special friend commemorating your nurturing dollars.

I am keeping all those affected by the recent tragedies in Texas and Boston in my thoughts and prayers. So dreadful.....XOXO

Warmest regards,
Bonny

NEW CONTAINER ARRIVALS and Spring Garden Sale!!!

It's great to finally be able to get back to my blog, I have had so much going on I saw myself coming and going. Whenever a container arrives its daunting.....COVERED in boxes and paper its a little like Christmas morning but then the cleaning, picture taking , measurements and ticketing ...it never gets done completely. And in the back of my mind is "I have to get to the upholsterer and the framer".
60 pieces have been added to the website HERE with more to come so watch for another update.   I usually post on the site only the big items so everyday I have been carting about 3 boxes to the shop with art and smalls.  Even though pieces have been selling already,  my plan is to take shop photos so you can see the wonderful small treasures I have added.

I eventually will choose upholstery for many of the furniture pieces but they have been posted before they are complete with fabric.  This is a good time to acquire antique chairs BEFORE the cost of fabric has been added.  I will be happy to help with your fabric choices on any piece.

In addition to the new shipment I wanted to have a "Yes, FINALLY spring is here SALE" ....Beautiful antique garden stone pieces and unique accessories to make you see SPRING !!  We in the northeast feel as though we've earned our recent warmer temps, finally thawing out!
