A Real Basket Case!!
I have a weak spot for baskets! Whenever I am out hunting for pieces to add to the collection I can't walk away from a great old woven basket. Even if I have a bunch in my reserves - I just can't resist.

The wicker trunk above has a very important role in this beautiful hallway.  I love everything here ....the chairs are spectacular but, let's face it, not comfortable looking.  The slate floor and the marble top on the table are perfect but, very hard surfaces. The walls are fresh and clean.  Even though the antique mirror adds texture, the BASKET adds all the warmth in the room.

Baskets are useful as well as an important addition for texture as in this family room holding the logs next to the fireplace.

An antique grape gathering baskets holds court in this back hall.  This was first seen piled high with grapes during harvest time at vineyards in France.  I  have several available.

Love the shape of these, don't you?

This double handled basket is a great contrast in textures when used to hold pillows softening the sterile look in this all white nursery.

Basket used as a log holder once again next to this truly unique corner fireplace.
Cute regal pooch!

As a toy bin in the den. I personally like this look much better than plastic tubs.

Another grape harvest basket completes this vignette.

I think they need one of the large ones here for these blankets...

Here a wicker trunk is used as a coffee table.  I just decided I MUST get velvet pumpkins in the shop next year.

Baskets used for videos and DVDs, softening the tough look of electronics.

...as an end table AND log holder.  The print on the round basket adds that unexpected element every room needs. Do you LOVE the relaxed linen shades as much as I do??

They made a reading room out of this closet, but in some way it looks like a "time out' room.  I'm glad he's smiling.  Maybe it's the camera angle.  Greek key wood floor inlay (SWOON!) I have several of these French market baskets available.

Keeping it neat holding the newspapers and magazines mid-read....

Holding your yarn while you are knitting that cashmere throw....not ME-but maybe YOU!!

Holding sports equipment......footballs AND

This family is active.....golf clubs, lacrosse, fishing AND tennis!

Fireplace log holder and table....(these are some bookshelves!!  Who dusts the top 5 shelves??)
